The vast majority of the Sundeck team has been working on open source and community driven data systems for more than a decade. We think these foundational components are key to the modernization of the modern data stack. Amongst our team are more than 10 Apache PMC members covering nearly half a dozen different foundational data technologies. Amongst other projects, our team were co-founders of multiple critical open source projects including Apache Arrow, Apache Calcite, Substrait, Apache Phoenix and Apache Drill. More recently we also open-sourced the QTag specification and library, specifically targeted at making it easier for people to tag and understand their queries.
